This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from – (the “Site”) or if you play the game Crysis Remastered (“the Game”).

In terms of Art.  4 No. 1 GDPR Personal data includes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

Crytek collects data as follows when a user visit its Site we collect the following data which can be assessed at being personal data:

Device Information:

  • Information about the web browser you’re using
  • IP address
  • Time zone
  • Information on cookies/apps that are in use by your browser.
  • Information on web products or pages that you view.
  • Information regarding redirects/which website or search terms referred you to the Site.

Activity information, including online time, clickpaths, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this information collectively as “Device information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

When a user signs up for our newsletter:

When you subscribe to our Crysis newsletter you give your consent to receive our newsletter with our information regarding Crysis and that your email address will be stored for this purpose. After submitting your email address you will receive a confirmation email with a link which has to be clicked in order to confirm your subscription. Only after such confirmation by you you will receive our newsletter. We will send out our newsletter from time to time if useful to provide you interesting news concerning Crysis Your email address will only be used for this purpose. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time without any reason by clicking at a respective “unsubscribe” link included in each newsletter or by sending us an email with the subject “unsubscribe” and information to the email address which shall be unsubscribed to

We use MailChimp to send our newsletter when you sign up for a newsletter subscription. You can review MailChimp’s privacy policy at MailChimp is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield.

The legal basis for the use of personal data with regard to send you newsletter(s) is Art. 6 (1) lit (a) GDPR as you have given us your consent.

When a user plays/installs the Game:

The Game uses for PC an Anti-Tamper-Software provided by Denuvo (“Denuvo Software”). The Denuvo Software checks whether the Game was legitimately acquired and licensed and is not corrupted. In order to perform the check the following data will be processed by Denuvo:

  • User ID
  • IP address
  • Access Date
  • Country code or IP address
  • Name of the disc drive
  • Language of the OS

The foregoing personal data will processed only for described purpose and protected against any access by any third parties. It will be stored as long as the Game is protected by the Denuvo Software by Denuvo GmbH, Strubergasse 26, 5020 Salzburg, Austria and it is stored on servers located only in the European Union. Please note that if you exercise your rights to object, restrict the processing of your personal data or your request a deletion you will not be able to install/play the Game. The legal basis for the processing is Art (1) lit. f GDPR. The processing is strictly limited to personal data which is not directly identifiable and Crytek has a high interest to protect its intellectual property.


Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
